The Environmental Humanities Center Amsterdam is looking for a student assistant (0,1fte, that is 4 hours per week) from 1 September 2024 to 30 June 2025.
The candidate needs to be enrolled at VU Amsterdam during that entire period. Payment ranges between 2618 and 2846 euros gross per month for a full-time position (that is 262-285 euros gross per month for a 0,1fte position) according to the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities.
Qualifications
- We are looking for a student with interest and ideally already some experience in the Environmental Humanities. Ideally, you are enrolled (or plan to enroll) in our RMA program in the Environmental Humanities, but students from other programs may apply as well
- Fluent in English, Dutch welcome
- Flexible working hours, availability on campus
- Enthusiastic, pro-active
- Strong organizing abilities
- Skilled user of Microsoft Office, Google docs, WordPress, social media etc.
Tasks
- Organize board meetings (room reservation, agenda, minutes)
- Organize events and lectures
- Help with the writing of applications for research grants
- Take care of communication tasks (website, social media)
