Theme Table: “Energy, Environment & Progress”

We are excited to announce that you can now visit the first Environmental Humanities theme table, centered around the topic of Energy, Environment & Progress.

This theme table was created alongside a new reading group for master’s students in the Environmental Humanities program. The first session focused on energy and the living environment, specifically on how the concept of ‘energy’ has shaped society, and spurred our dependency on fossil fuels.

For anyone interested in learning more about this topic, feel free to browse the new thematic table. Here, you can find the texts we discussed during the reading group, as well as a selection of additional relevant literature curated by the EHC Library Room.

You can find the table on the first floor of the VU Library, where it will stay until December 2025.
