JUST ART Roundtable: What Can Art Do For Climate Justice?

Our JUST ART consortium is organizing an evening roundtable discussion on “What can art do for climate justice?” on Thursday 17 September at 19.00 – 20.30 CEST. You are very welcome to join the event in Groningen or follow the discussion online!

We’re happy to present five speakers who will share their perspectives from different fields and contexts:

  • Dorien van den Bergh – Netherlands Scientific Climate Council (Klimaatraad)
  • Iris Poels – Voedselpark Amsterdam
  • Salys Sultan – University of Aruba
  • Sissel Marie Tonn – PhD at University of Groningen and artist
  • Tessa Hagen – Milieudefensie

The discussion will be moderated by Colin Sterling (University of Amsterdam). We hope the evening will offer an opportunity to hear different perspectives (from art, science, policy, activism to community initiatives) and spark an open conversation about the role that art can play in understanding and pursuing climate justice.
