How can we better connect citizens, policy and energy systems in the transition to sustainable
neighbourhoods? Over the past four years, the NWO research project ALIGN4energy has brought
together researchers and practitioners to explore this
question.

During this concluding event, we will share the project’s key findings, practical tools and lessons learned. Through presentations, interactive break-out sessions and discussions, participants will have the opportunity to exchange experiences, reflect on common challenges and explore how research can support bringing citizens and systems together for the energy transition.
The afternoon offers plenty of opportunities to meet researchers and professionals from across policy, practice and academia, explore research posters and discuss future collaboration.

Morning program
Before the afternoon programme, a Dutch-language interactive morning session will take place from 09:30 to 12:00 at the same venue. The session focuses on the practical challenges of engaging citizens in the energy transition, explores what still doesn’t work, and how we can improve it.
